Food & Hygiene Pantry

People stocking shelves for the food and hygiene pantryCatherine McAuley Center (CMC) has an in-house food & hygiene pantry filled with the basic, everyday essentials our clients need.  We provide residents and the families of students with various items free of charge, including:

  • Non-perishable foods
  • Personal care products (shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
  • Furniture

The shelves are stocked thanks to donations from food & supply drives at local businesses and from individuals like you. The food & hygiene pantry is also made possible by the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP) Food Reservoir.

The Catherine McAuley Center needs your help to keep our pantry stocked with the essential items found on our wishlist. Unfortunately, there are some items not accepted due to limited storage space. We recommend that you bring these items to Stuff, Etc. Quality Consignment on Blairs Ferry Road, Cedar Rapids in the Catherine McAuley Center’s name.  CMC will receive the proceeds, which typically add up to several hundred dollars each year. Donation receipt available upon request. Items are subject to Stuff’s usual restrictions.

Donations can be brought to the Catherine McAuley Center at 866 4th Ave SE, Cedar Rapids during operating hours. Please call 319-363-4993 with questions and before dropping off any furniture or large items.
