Catherine McAuley Center provides flexible work schedules and a comprehensive benefits package. Full-Time, Hourly – Non-Exempt
The Refugee and Immigrant Resource Specialist will support the Education Services team and the Refugee and Immigrant Resource Manager in implementing two State of Iowa contracts: Iowa HHS Refugee Support Services (employment) and HHS Refugee Community Services (education). Responsibilities may include teaching Community Orientation and Engagement classes, providing case management for employment clients, and conducting employer outreach. In addition, the Specialist will assist with reporting and documentation for both contracts to ensure compliance.

Part-time, Hourly
The purpose of the Tutor Coaching Coordinator’s role is to create and sustain long-term volunteer tutor training and coaching. The Tutor Coaching Coordinator will ensure that students are receiving quality instruction in three ways: they will assess and develop training materials for current tutors; they will schedule and conduct coaching sessions and observations with tutors; and they will establish a structure for “Tutor Leaders” to sustainably support ongoing training and mentorship.

Part-time, Hourly
The Education Program Coordinator’s duties fall into three areas of focus in Education Services programming. The first area of duty of the Education Program Coordinator is assisting the Education Program Manager in guiding and mentoring students and tutors; the second is teaching classes; and the third is assisting with record keeping and database entry. The position’s hours are anytime between Monday and Saturday. This position has an option to work from home on a limited basis and requires supervisor approval.

Be an agent of social change while building professional skills! AmeriCorps is a limited-term program ideal for individuals building work experience or looking to explore a change in career. Members must have a green card or U.S. citizenship to qualify for this program.
