Staff Opportunities

Catherine McAuley Center provides flexible work schedules and a comprehensive benefits package. The Volunteer & Outreach Manager is responsible for CMC’s diverse and dynamic volunteer program. The Volunteer & Outreach Manager cultivates relationships with corporate, religious, academic, community and individual volunteers to meet the increasing ongoing services and special project needs of the Center. A successful Volunteer & Outreach Manager utilizes best practices in volunteer management that results in a growing volunteer force with deeper engagement and commitment to the CMC mission. 

Bachelor’s degree or other degree with equivalent experience, as well as two years of experience working with volunteers is required.

Full-Time, Salaried

The Refugee Case Manager assists newly-arrived refugee families in adapting to U.S. culture, identifies means to promote self-sufficiency and integration into the community, and provides mediation and advocacy for families with outside agencies. This role is responsible for coordinating housing and setup of homes with required furniture and household items. The Refugee Case Manager will also respond to requests for help in case of emergency situations.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Political Science and/or related field or relevant experience required. Possession of a driver’s license, insurance, and personal transportation is required.

Full-Time, Hourly – 40 Hours Weekly, Afternoon & Evening Shifts

The Custodian & Facilities Assistant is responsible for performing routine interior and exterior custodial duties, including snow removal, lawn care, and general facility maintenance. This position will support the overall mission of the Catherine McAuley Center by providing a safe, secure, healthy, functional, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for all who come through our doors.

AmeriCorps Opportunities

Be an agent of social change while building professional skills! AmeriCorps is a limited-term program ideal for individuals building work experience or looking to explore a change in career. Members must have a green card or U.S. citizenship to qualify for this program.

Internship Opportunities

Volunteer interns support many programs at the Catherine McAuley Center. Internships allow you to use your unique skills and interests to build professional work experience.

Up to 24 hours/week, Unpaid

RIS Employment Interns build experience assisting refugees and immigrants in gaining meaningful employment and job skills. This role supports our Refugee & Immigrant Services employment programs. As an intern, you will engage in program activities, record data, and collaborate with staff to work closely with clients.

Up to 24 hours/week, Unpaid

Refugee Social Services Interns build experience shadowing case managers and resource navigators, supporting program activities such as client document follow-ups, public benefits applications, and general adminsitrative tasks. Interns also assist clients with navigating public transportation, enrolling in English language classes, arranging housing, and other needs.

Join our team as a Language Lab Intern and help immigrants and refugees embrace opportunity through education! The Language Lab Intern will work with volunteers to offer English competency, and digital literacy support to CMC clients in our drop in computer lab.

The Education Services Intern will offer administrative support to Education staff, act as a substitute tutor as needed, and assist with additional duties assigned by the Education Services Specialist.
