Here, adult learners are welcomed to class where they gain the skills that better equip them to greet their neighbors, support their children’s learning, and match with the careers that best fit their talents.
Here, women who have experienced trauma and homelessness are welcomed home where they find a safe place to heal from trauma, form healthy relationships, and regain stability and a sense of hope for the future.
And here, refugees and immigrants are welcomed to the community where they receive the resources and education to navigate their surroundings and build a life in the United States, to not just survive, but thrive.

Vinh and Linh Nguyen moved to Cedar Rapids when Vinh accepted a position at Coe College. Linh started learning English at CMC, where she met her tutors, Bill and Merilee Rosberg, and soon, a lifelong friendship was formed.
