Client Resources
When you come to the Catherine McAuley Center for services or appointments, you can also access additional resources that are available to CMC clients and residents!
Food Pantry
Anytime you come to CMC, you can select food from the fridge and pantry shelves located near the front lobby. CMC’s food pantry and hygiene closet are available to all clients and residents as often as needed. The pantry is stocked daily with fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, beans, rice, fish, and personal care products.
For hygiene products, household items or other needs, please ask a CMC staff member for assistance.

CMC Kids
Your children are always welcome to join you at CMC! We have a children’s room supervised by CMC staff and trained volunteers so you can focus on your classes or appointments without interruptions.
CMC Kids offers free care and activities for young children while parents go to class or have appointments at CMC. Feel safe knowing that your children are being cared for in the same building while you work on your goals!

Community Garden
During the growing season, CMC’s Community Garden offers green space for clients, residents, and community members to grow their own produce and learn gardening skills while relaxing in nature! The garden creates opportunities to learn, practice self-care, and form meaningful connections.
If you want to grow your own plants and food but don’t have the space at home, you can have your own designated growing space in our garden.
Contact mitch@cmc-cr.org or call 319-200-5067 to ask about your own growing space.
Therapeutic Gardening for Women
Whether you’re a resident or accessing other Women’s Services programs, you have the option of participating in the community garden! Women’s Services leads Dirt Therapy Group to help women take time to relax in nature, practice mindfulness, and experience the grounding aspects of the grass, soil, and trees.
