AbUSed Film Screening & Panel
Monday, April 16, 2018
AbUSed: The Postville Raid shares the stories of the Postville families and individuals who were affected by one of the largest immigration raids in U.S. history. This spring marks the 10th anniversary of the event.
Each June we honor the volunteers and financial supporters who offer hope and opportunity at CMC with a reception and program.
Every August we come together with residents, students, tutors, volunteers, staff members and everyone’s families at a community potluck to celebrate the friendship and diversity built at the Center!
Women’s Equality Day
Every August 26th we celebrate the anniversary of women gaining the right to vote at a lunchtime event on the CMC lawn! CMC’s Transitional Housing Program hosts this celebration of women’s history, local female leaders, and women’s empowerment. Bring your lunch and a cloth item to have silk-screened with empowering slogans for a suggested donation of $5!
Home Outreach Parties
Plan a get-together and share your passion for the CMC mission with family and friends! For example, in summer of 2016 several volunteers gathered for the gold and hosted Olympics home viewing parties while raising donations for CMC services.
