In order to prepare our volunteers for success, some of our roles require a one-session orientation. Read on to learn what to expect and to sign up!
To get started as a new volunteer, please register for an upcoming Volunteer Orientation. For new tutors, please register for an upcoming Tutor Orientation. At this time, orientations are paused for CMC Kids and Refugee & Immigrant Services.
To get started as a volunteer tutor, attend an orientation led by our Education Services program and learn some helpful tips for working with English language learners and adult learners.
General orientation required for all new volunteers (new tutors will attend the Tutor Orientation). Learn about the Catherine McAuley Center, our services, and the many volunteer roles available. Additional training will be provided during your volunteer shift.
Volunteers help supervise children and infants as they learn and play in CMC Kids while their parents attend classes or access services at the Center. Get started by attending orientation for training on policies and processes, and learn tips for creating an inclusive atmosphere for kids!
