We’re kicking off CMC’s 35th Anniversary celebrations with a series of events during Welcoming Week! Welcoming Week is a nation-wide initiative bringing together organizations, communities and neighbors of all backgrounds to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive spaces for collective prosperity.
Join us for a Refugee Simulation on Tuesday, September 17 and get a better understanding of what it means to be a welcoming neighbor and ally! This immersive learning experience is designed to help participants better understand some of the difficult choices that refugees may face on their resettlement journey.
This is a free event for all ages. The event will take place in the Hallagan Education Center at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
